Salem’s Lot To Start Filming In September

Downtown will again be used as a backdrop when filmmakers roll into town in September.
Filming will take place in the AnnTiques area of South Main Street for five or six days, town manager Tony Marino told the select board on Monday.
The movie planned is ‘Salem’s Lot, a remake of Stephen King’s classic tale about vampires in small-town Maine.

Metzger will write and direct the podcast series, with a cast that includes Garrett Hedlund, Milo Ventimiglia, Herizen F. Guardiola, Sydney Sweeney, Ken Marino and Al Madrigal. More cast members will be announced at a later date. Emmy Award winner Philip Alberstat will produce.

Lisey’s Story has aired it’s last episode and here are my thoughts about it.Let me know what you think.
I like it but I think it will divide the fans into two camps. Those who, like me, appreciate that it’s a rather slow burner that takes it’s time and those who think it’s too slow. Either way there is one thing you can’t deny. It looks beautiful.

The latest Pet Sematary installment is filling out its cast ahead of its upcoming August start date.
Mare of Easttown actor Jack Mulhern and Forrest Goodluck, who is known for starring opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in The Revenant, have joined the untitled feature, along with Big Sky actress Natalie Alyn Lind and newcomer Isabella Star LaBlanc.

Do we need a prequel to Pet Sematary?Deadline reports that Jackson White is in final negotiations to star as Jud Crandall in the follow-up adaptation of 2019's Pet Sematary. It seems they are going for a prequel since Jud will be younger than in the original movie.
The film is set to begin shooting in August and will debut exclusively on Paramount+.

According to Deadline a new adaptation of Christine is in the making.Sony Pictures and Blumhouse are revving back up Christine, a new version of the Stephen King novel that Bryan Fuller is writing to direct. Jason Blum is producing for Blumhouse, and Vincenzo Natali and Steven Hoban are also producing.

Before Stephen King gets out of bed at 6 a.m., he makes a mental inventory of the things he’s grateful for. “It’s a nice way to start the day because you get a chance to almost do a review of your current life, your current status,” says King, 73. His family, friends and dog—a corgi named Molly, whom he also refers to as the Thing of Evil—are mainstays of his list. “I try to remember to be grateful for not being in pain, you know? Because everybody has some of that in their life.” Next, he gets up and does a round of sit-ups and push-ups, shaves and eats breakfast before sitting down to write.

Pet Sematary, Stephen King’s self-proclaimed scariest property ever, next installment in the franchise has gained momentum as it looks like it has found its director. Sources tell Deadline, Lindsey Beer has signed on to direct Paramount Players’ follow-up adaptation of the successful 2019 horror pic based on Stephen King’s best-seller. Beer has become one of busiest screenwriters and this will mark her directing debut. The classic 1989 adaptation made history with Mary Lambert directing the pic and its 1992 follow-up and it was important to studio execs to go back to the films roots and have a female filmmaker at the helm. Beer has wanted to jump into the directing the chair and saw this as a perfect opportunity. Beer also wrote the latest script based off a draft by Jeff Buhler.
My only question is...was the 2019 version really a success?

When Julianne Moore initially signed on to star in and executive produce Lisey's Story, she wasn't at all familiar with, well, Lisey's story. She just knew she wanted to work with Stephen King.
Fans of the book will be happy to know that the show is incredibly faithful to its source material, right down to all the genre-hopping. "It's all in there. Because there's so much in it — psychological horror, romance, mystery, a science-fiction-like quality, sort of scary brutality — sometimes I was like, holy cow, what now?" Moore says with a laugh.
"I would never have gotten involved with this thing at my age, if it wasn't," King, who's 73, tells EW. "You know, they're all my favorites. I love them all. Some of them are difficult children to love, some of them a little bit easier. This is a little bit difficult to love, but I've always loved the story and that's the reason I got involved."
In fact, he says he kept the rights to the story to himself because he knew he wanted to be the one to adapt it, and it wasn't until he saw The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story, of all things, that he felt he had to finally make it happen. "I looked at that thing and I said to myself, my goodness, this guy Tom Rob Smith wrote the whole thing. He wrote all eight or nine episodes, and I thought, well, if he could do that, and bring it home and do such a great job, what about Lisey?" he says.

Firestarter Starts Filming In May

Zac Efron is coming to Hamilton.
The actor probably best known for playing Troy Bolton in the “High School Musical” trilogy from Disney will be in the city to film a remake of “Firestarter.”
Reports say the film from Blumhouse/Universal Studios will also be filmed in Toronto. The phone number for the production company is a Hamilton number. Shooting is expected to run between May 25 and July 21, says the government agency Ontario Creates.

Hodder & Stoughton has unveiled an ambitious reissue plan for Stephen King’s entire backlist,
beginning with six classic novels set to be released with stunning new covers on 11th May 2021.
Further groups of titles will be re-launched in 2-3 batches per year, with a total of over 70 books
being revamped between spring 2021 and autumn 2024, culminating with the 50th anniversary of
Carrie.
The books will be grouped into different categories including Chilling Classics, Epic Thrillers and
