Thinking about getting a copy of my book? Well, I just checked with Cemetery Dance and they told me they only have 30 copies left. I also asked them if they would be willing to give my readers a discount. After all Christmas is coming right? And they agreed. They are giving you 25% of on my book if you order it from them. That means you pay $30 instead of $40. Mot bad if you ask me.
2) When you reach the PAYMENT page during the checkout process, just put the special code LILJA25 in the COUPON CODE field near the top of the page and then click the REDEEM button.
But as I said, they only have 30 copies left so hurry if you want one.
The Walking Dead is at its mid-season break and what a mid-season finale. It really shows why it's the best series on TV at the moment. Here are two short clips from the next episode. The only downside is that you'll have to wait until Feb. 12 to watch it.
I know you have seen photos of it before but today I got a press kit for Bag of Bones and I must say that it’s every bit as cool as the previous photos showed. Great work by A&E!
My favorite King blog Talk Stephen King reported the following today.
While Ron Howard signs new deals with HBO, Deadline gives this quote from Akiva Goldsman, “we’re still pushing the boulder uphill.” Deadline says that Goldsman is optimistic that the ambitious project will find a home “very soon.” But he just signed a 2 year deal with HBO to make a series about Doc Holliday. Ron Howard is expected to direct the pilot.
A&E are going all the way in promoting the upcoming miniseries Bag of Bones. As we speak they are sending out these very cool press kits to reviewers. Head over to The Fire Wire to see more photos and a video of it.
As you can see there is a new feature on Lilja's Library; comments! Below the news you can now post your thoughts on what’s happening.
And to celebrate this new feature I'm giving away a copy of the book Dark Score Stories to one of you that post at least one comment to any of the news posted here (not just this one) before December 4th. However, please don't just post nonsense to win, OK? Why not start by letting me know how you feel about this feature?
Casting for the new musical version of Carrie is done. check it all out here.
There is also a new book out about Carrie in all its format. It's called Carrie: Studies in the Horror Film and written by Joe Aisenberg. Check it out here.
An hour long video from King's appearance at the JFK Library can now be seen over at StephenKing.com. During the hour King reads from 11/22/63 and gets interviewed with Tom Perrotta.
Here are my review of The Walking Dead Chronicles. It’s a book best describes as the bonus feature on a DVD but in book form. It’s packed with info on both the TV series and the comic and a must have for all fans of both.
Here are my review of The Walking Dead: Rise of the Governor. A book that tells the background story of one of the most sadistic villains ever created.
Entertainment Weekly reports that Dexter has been renewed for two more seasons: 'Dexter' renewed for two more seasons
Dexter is will return for two more seasons, Showtime just announced.
The serial killer drama was renewed for a seventh and eighth season. Each will consist of the show’s standard 12 episodes. The network also closed a deal with star Michael C. Hall for two more rounds. The deal makes Dexter one of cable’s longest-running drama series.
“The series is bigger than it’s ever been in its sixth season, both in terms of audience and its impact on the cultural landscape,” said Showtime topper David Nevins. “Together with Michael, the creative team on the show has a very clear sense of where they intend to take the show over the next two seasons and, as a huge fan, I’m excited to watch the story of Dexter Morgan play out.”
Here’s a question: Does this mean Dexter will end after eight seasons?
Dread Central reports that Russelll Tovey (the werewolf in the UK version of Being Human) leaves the series after season 4 leaving only one original cast member...
There we were, enjoying our Saturday morning coffee and catching up with Twitter, when we saw a tweet from Russell Tovey, one of the stars of the UK version of "Being Human", saying that he's leaving the show. First Mitchell, now George?!? Talk about ruining your weekend! Anyway, read on for the sad, but true details.
First off, here's what @RussellTovey tweeted:
"Hey my lovely witty's, you may or may not know by now, but I am leaving Being Human officially.. Thought you should all know... Im sorry x"
Then, reading a little further down his tweets, we found a link to an article in The Guardian in which he explains, "Well, I've actually left 'Being Human', but no one [outside of the show] knows yet. Aidan [Turner]'s left to film The Hobbit in New Zealand [with Peter Jackson], and going on without him on this fourth series felt strange."
When asked if having only one of the original cast members left (i.e., Lenora Crichlow, aka ghost Annie) puts the show in major jeopardy, Tovey promised fans, "No, with 'Being Human' the story can definitely go on and on. Toby [Whithouse, the writer] still runs it, and they can do all sorts ... add giants and robots!"
Well, we don't know about giants and/or robots, but this certainly has raised a lot of questions. Such as when and how werewolf George (Tovey's character) will be leaving and what it all means for Sinead Keenan, who plays Nina, his love interest, when the fourth season of "Being Human" begins airing sometime in early 2012. As we find out more, we'll be sure to pass it on!
In celebration of the release of 11/22/63, StephenKing.com is proud to announce we will be holding a fan appreciation giveaway for fans in the UK. Entries will be accepted from 6:00 AM GMT through 11:59:59 PM GMT on 14 November. (See Complete Rules for details)
Fans located within the United Kingdom will be able to submit their contact information using the form located at the link below during the hours listed above. From those entrants, we will randomly select 25 users to receive a free hardcover edition of 11/22/63.
Yesterday King announced that he was done the second draft of Dr. Sleep. He said that critics have been very kind with him regarding 11/22/63, and they've said maybe he was getting away from all that horror stuff. They won't know what hit them with Dr. sleep, he said. It's a goddamn scary book.
I got some other cool items today as well that's connected to Bag of Bones and the Dark Score Stories book and photos. Some of the stuff seen on the photos...
Today I got a really nice book in the mail and I just had to show you. It's from A&E and called Dark Score Stories and has all the photos and text from the site DarkScoreStories.com and a foreword by Mick Garris. The photos is taken by award-winning photojournalist Joachim Ladefoged and the book is limited to somewhere between 200 and 250 copies. Here are some photos.
Here is my review of the audio version of 11/22/63. It's quite similar to the review of the book but read through and you'll find comments on the audio book.
Here is an early head of ýthe 1/6th scale of Nathan Grantham from Creepshow that Shrunken Head Studios are producing. See and read more on their facebook page.
