Here are my thoughts about the fifth episode of season 2 of Mr. Mercedes.
As the episode comes to an end, Bill starts to understand that Brady is in some way involved...
Zachary Quinto and Ashleigh Cummings are set as leads in AMC’s supernatural horror drama NOS4A2 based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Joe Hill. The show will premier in 2019 on AMC.
NOS4A2 introduces Vic McQueen (Cummings), a young, working class artist who discovers she has a supernatural ability to track the seemingly immortal Charlie Manx (Quinto). Manx feeds off the souls of children, then deposits what remains of them into Christmasland – a twisted Christmas Village of Manx’s imagination where every day is Christmas day and unhappiness is against the law. Vic must strive to defeat Manx and rescue his victims – without losing her mind or falling victim to him herself.
James Ransone talks to Metro about his part in IT: Chapter 2 and confirms that King has visited the set. There has been a rumor circulating that King has a cameo in the movie. That has not been confirmed though.
Here are my thoughts about the fourth episode of season 2 of Mr. Mercedes.
As the episode comes to an end, Bill starts to understand that Brady is in some way involved...
Here are my thoughts (contains spoilers) of the season finale of Castle Rock.
Castle Rock has reached the end of the first season. Before I saw it I was worried that they wouldn’t tie it all together. That they would leave a lot of questions open. Now that I have seen it I can only say...
The Fright or Flight contest is over and I had drawn the three winners. All they needed to do to win was post a photo of themselves with either Sleeping Beauties, The Outsider or Shining in the Dark. And here are the three winners. Please get back to me with your address and I’ll make sure you get your book. Congratulations.
Screenwriter Gary Dauberman has confirmed that the Ritual of Chüd will be included in the second IT movie.
“The Ritual of Chüd is challenging, but it’s such an important component to the book that we had to address it. That stuff is difficult to balance, but because (director Andy Muschietti, producer Barbara Muschietti and I) worked with each other before, when I’m writing pages and all that stuff it becomes more of a conversation and less like, ‘Hey, here’s what I did.’ It’s sort of organic; it’s really kind of just chipping away at the stone and trying to find the most focused, accessible way into some of more metaphysical aspects of that book.”
Here are my thoughts about the third episode of season 2 of Mr. Mercedes.
I like the season but I also think that it needs to start. It needs more action. I’m all for letting us know the characters and the mood they are in but we know the characters, we know what their agenda is. Now we need to see it happen.
Here are my thoughts (contains spoilers) of episode 9 of Castle Rock.
If they can tie this up this is a brilliant episode that really gets you to think.

A week from now, September 10, I will randomly pick three winners who will each receive a copy of the UK edition of Fright or Flight. I will pick the winners from those of you that have sent in photos to my fan photo page for the following books:
The photos must be submitted and on the page by midnight Swedish time (6 hours ahead of New York Time) between Sunday and Monday. How to get the photo to me? Well, that is up to you :-)
Here are my thoughts about the second episode of season 2 of Mr. Mercedes.
I like Jack Huston who plays Felix Babineau. He is a great actor and here he works perfect!
Here are my thoughts (contains spoilers) of episode 8 of Castle Rock.
I like the Gordon plot. I could have seen both him and his wife getting more time in this episode.
In the 1989 version of Pet Sematary Andrew Hubatsek played Zelda, Tachel Creed's ill sister. She had spinal meningitis and the scene is unforgettable. In the 2019 version of the movie Alyssa Brooke Levine will play Zelda.
I don’t know about you but I’m getting a copy of this! Just look at all these extra stuff we’re getting!

The Pennywise x 2 contest is over and we have a winner and who would be better to present him than the guys themselves. So, take it away Pennywise and Pennywise!
Just in time for the premier of season 2 of Mr. Mercedes I got to do a short interview with Makayla Lysiak who plays Barbara, Jerome’s little sister. We talk about how she prepared for the role and what she thinks of Stephen King.
Also check out my interivew with Rob Kyker; propmaster on Mr. Mercedes.
Pet Sematary just wrapped filming outside of Montreal- The news comes from the assistant director Beau Ferris on Instagram with a photo of John Lithgow as Jud Crandall.
Maximum Overdrive is being released on Blu-ray on October 23 by Vestron. Rumor is that it will have some nice extra material (not confirmed). And yes, I like this movie.
Variety reports that a movie version of The Tommyknockers is in the making over at Universal.
Jeremy Slater has been tapped to adapt “The Tommyknockers” for Universal Pictures, Variety has learned. The Stephen King adaptation is being produced by James Wan and Michael Clear, the team behind “The Nun” and “Annabelle: Creation,” and “It’s” Roy Lee.
Good news for all fans of Castle Rock. Hulu has reviewed the show for a second season. No premier date or other info about the second season has been released but episode six of season one premiers tomorrwo.

Here are my thoughts (contains spoilers) of episode 5 of Castle Rock.
I love the small nods to King’s other stuff. Like the mentioning about murders and killer dogs and a lot more. It’s done very tasteful and I love it.
Deadline reports that Patrick Wilson, Laysla De Oliveira and Harrison Gilbertson has been cast in In The Tall Grass:
The Vincenzo Natali-directed thriller In The Tall Grass is getting underway in Toronto for Netfix, and the film stars Patrick Wilson, Laysla De Oliveira and Harrison Gilbertson. Pic is based on a short story by Stephen King and son Joe Hill that was published in Esquire Magazine. Netflix acquired the underlying short story rights some time ago, when James Marsden was originally attached. Scheduling conflicts knocked him out of the lead role.
More from Ewan McGregor about Doctor Sleep:
"Stephen King notoriously didn't like 'The Shining.' He didn't like the fact that they didn't end the movie the way he ended his novel. I think he felt it wasn't a faithful adaptation," McGregor says. "Our script is very faithful to his novel. But for one thing. And I'm not going to give anything away."
Here is a clip with Ewan McGregor where he's confirming that Doctor Sleep will remain faithful to the book. He also say they will start shooting in September.

Here are my thoughts (contains spoilers) of episode 4 of Castle Rock.
The show is really good. I think they move in a pace that works very well. You get to know the characters but they still surprise you like in the end of the episode. I, for sure, didn’t see that coming.
More Doctor Sleep news. Variety reports that Zahn McClarnon is in talks to play Crow Daddy.
Zahn McClarnon is in talks to join Ewan McGregor and Rebecca Ferguson in Warner Bros.’ adaptation of the Stephen King novel “Doctor Sleep,” the sequel to the horror classic “The Shining.”
McGregor stars as the adult version of Danny Torrance, while Ferguson plays Rose the Hat. Sources say McClarnon would portray Crow Daddy, the right-hand man of Ferguson’s character.
Deadline reports that casting has been done for the roles of Dick Halloran and Wendy Torrance in the upcoming Doctor Sleep.
Warner Bros is setting Carl Lumbly to play Dick Halloran and Alex Essoe to play Wendy Torrance in Doctor Sleep, the continuation of the storyline from The Shining. Those are the roles that Scatman Crothers and Shelley Duvall played in the Stanley Kubrick-directed original, if you are keeping score at home.
Here is a new interesting book from Cemetery Dance: This Dark Chest of Wonders: 40 Years of Stephen King's The Stand. Order your copy here. About the Book:
In September 1978, Stephen King published The Stand, a massive, post-apocalyptic story that captured the imagination of his growing legion of Constant Readers, introducing them to his ultimate villain, Randall Flagg. Over the course of time, the tale of good and evil only gained in popularity, leading to the 1990 publication of The Stand: Complete and Uncut, which gave audiences the author's original vision for his novel.
In This Dark Chest of Wonders: 40 Years of Stephen King's The Stand, Andy Burns (Wrapped In Plastic: Twin Peaks, BiffBamPop.com) tells the story behind the story of King's enduring opus and delves deep into its various incarnations — the unfilmed George A. Romero adaptation; the 1994 ABC mini-series; the audiobook; and Marvel Comics' adaptation.
Included are exclusive interviews with Stephen King experts Bev Vincent, Robin Furth, Mick Garris, Jamey Sheridan, WG Snuffy Walden, Grover Gardner, Ralph Macchio, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Mike Perkins.
This Dark Chest of Wonders: 40 Years of The Stand delivers a complete and uncut look into one of Stephen King's most enduring achievements.
