Is IT A Loooooong Movie? Hopefully!

Posted: May 17, 2017, 01:02

Here is a photo that Barbara Muschietti shared on Instagram. It shows the editing room with a scene from the IT movie that we recognize from the second trailer. What's interesting with this photo is up in the left corner. There you can see the numbers 2:17:16:13. If this is what I think it is, it's the running time for the movie and would mean that this scene (which is probably not at the end of the movie) happen about 2 hours and 17 minutes into the movie and that tells me the movie will be very looooooong. Or the numbers could mean something totally different but let’s hope it’s the running time.

You can also see that this is from May 1st so there might have been other cuts done that would affect the running time…if that is what those numbers are…

OK, the weekend is here. You’re at home taking it easy after a week’s work. What could be better than having a Stephen King trailer Marathon? Or at least 7 minutes of trailers? I guessed so. Here you go: The Mist (June 22), The Dark Tower (August 4) and IT (September 8).

King talks The Dark Tower trailer, IT trailer and what would happen to him if he revealed anything about the upcoming Hulu show Castle Rock he's doing with JJ Abrams.

I have some ideas about how it’s going to play out, but I think JJ Abrams would cut my tongue out if I said anything about it.

I don't know about you but I can't stop laughing about this class assignment to draw a self-portrait that Jackson Roberts who plays Georgie in the new IT did. Can you imagine the teachers reaction…

No One Sticks Up For A Clown

Here is an entertaining article about how professional clowns are afraid that the new IT movie will put them out of business. Or as one clown puts it:

“No one sticks up for a clown. The only thing cooler to dislike is a mime.”

Finn Wolfhard Talks IT

Posted: March 27, 2017, 20:02

TMZ recently caught up with Finn Wolfhard and asked about the young actor’s experience with filming IT and what fans should expect from the movie released this September:

“It was really intense but it was a lot of fun. We tried to take a lot from the book and hopefully people will like it as much (as the mini-series). It’s so intense because we’re on this set in the middle of nowhere, and you’re getting spit on, and screamed at, and blood is pouring on you.”

Wolfhard also went on to admit that he himself, is actually afraid of clowns. In which case, should bring a fantastic performance from the actor in the movie.

Here is a better look at the Empire photo of Pennywise.

There’s supposed to be a less-is-more thing in horror. It’s like you’re not really meant to show the monster. But Pennywise is different. With Pennywise, it’s like, ‘This is the monster, I’m showing it to you… and you’re going to shit a brick.’

More IT & No Filming Of Part 2 In March

Posted: March 13, 2017, 11:00
_
Director Andy Muschietti showed the teaser as well as a clip from the film this weekend and we have already gotten a description of the teaser. Here is a description of the scene that was shown (source: Daily Dead).

We were also shown about five minutes of another scene that introduces Ben Hanscom while the Losers' Club begins to explore the sewers below Derry, as they suspect that’s where Pennywise calls home. It was a great way to see the relationships between the kids explored, and I loved how naturally they all responded to each other.

Muschietti also revealed that he wanted to keep Bill Skarsgard (who play Pennywise) away from the kids as much as possible.

He was with them for the read-through, but then that was it, and all the kids were like, “It’s okay, he’s not going to scare us,” but that first day he got onto the stage, they fucking freaked out. I can’t even describe how scary he looked in person.

There has been rumors about the second movie would start shooting in March but when asked about that Muschietti had the following to say:

"It's just a complete misinterpretation of the facts. It's not happening now. We're in the midst of post production.”

So, there you have it.

- The teaser will be scary as Hell.
- Bill looks great as Pennywise
- The second movie won’t start film in March.

The moderator of King's Message Board posted this message today:

IT Rating And Sequel

Posted: February 10, 2017, 00:26
_
Dan Lin talks about the IT movie being rated R and it's sequel.

DAN LIN: It is a rated-R movie. If you’re going to make a “Rated-R movie”, you have to fully embrace what it is, and you have to embrace the source material. It is a scary clown that’s trying to kill kids. So of course that’s going to be a rated-R movie. The kids are amazing. You very much get a Stand by Me vibe as far as their camaraderie and the way they joke with each other and that they really care for each other. They do have a scary crown that’s taken over the town of Derry, so it’s going to be rated R.

Pennywise In Entertainment Weekly

Posted: December 27, 2016, 08:49
_
It's now confirmed that the latest photo of Pennywise is from Entertainment Weekly.

Director Andrés Muschietti (Mama) says this monster unsettles precisely because he doesn’t lurk in the shadows. “Pennywise shows up, he’s front and center, and he does his show. He has an act,” Muschietti says. “So it’s weird all the time, and every little thing implies a further threat.” Watch out for his punchlines. They’ll knock you dead.

Today the screening of the remake of IT happens and even though I doubt that we’ll get any details about it (the participants probably have to sign a no disclosure contracts) we might get a general opinion about it. Is it good? Is it bad? Love it or hate it?

IF I hear anything I’ll let you know ASAP and congratulations to all of you that get to see it. I wish I was there with you!
