American Vampire #4

As this comic continues we keep on following Pearl and Skinner as they continues their vampire lives. Skinner enjoying it while Pearl would rather get back to her old life. She feels the hunger though and the other vampires don’t make life easy for her. She does however have the support of Henry, her lover who does more for her than anyone can be expected to do.

Skinner Sweet on the other hand is hunted by his enemies that want nothing more than to kill him, in the worst way. That’s easier said than done though and the men trying to kill Skinner is knows it. And if anyone of them didn’t, Skinner makes sure they do... And Jim, the leader, might get other things to deal with before the night is over...

I have said it before but it’s worth repeating; I like American Vampire. I like Rafael Albuquerque's illustration, his style but also the stories themselves. Skinner is one of the meanest vampires I have ever seen but I guess Pearl might give him a run for his money. She is sweet now but I think that will change. She is a blood thirsty vampire and nothing can change that.

And another thing that hit me while I was reading this issue is how well King's and Snyder's stories go together. It's almost as if they are both written by the same author. As I said; I like it!

Lilja's final words about American Vampire #4:

Now there's only one issue left in with King as one of its authors. It will be interesting to see whether the two stories will merge into one or continues as two separate.
